About Me

Building serious AI with a human point of view

Chen Friedman

I’m the founder of Lawcal AI, where I work on AI systems for law, government, and other high-trust environments. My work sits at the intersection of technology, institutions, and the people who depend on them.

What drives me is not just what AI can automate, but what it can unlock. I care about making powerful tools more useful to more people — especially in systems that shape access, rights, services, and opportunity.

Over the years, I’ve worked across LegalTech, GovTech, content, and product building. I’m interested in the future, but I care just as much about execution: how ideas become tools, how trust is built, and how innovation becomes something people can actually rely on.

What defines my work

Bringing AI into legal, public, and institutional systems where trust matters as much as capability

Connecting future-facing ideas with practical execution, not just commentary or hype

Building in Hebrew-first and multilingual environments with local relevance and international ambition

Writing and speaking about AI in a way that is serious, accessible, and grounded in public impact

Working from the belief that better tools can help create a more level playing field for people and institutions alike
